WhatsApp, a subsidiary of Meta, announced the launch of a special version of the application directed to Apple Watches. Users will be able to read and respond to messages, and receive calls without having to take out the phone.
On Tuesday, the company said in its blog that this experience will help users continue conversations without having to take out the phone.
This application enables you to read and respond to messages, receive call notifications, in addition to recording and sending voice messages.
The company also included the ability to send quick responses using emojis, in addition to displaying images and stickers with clearer resolution, and the ability to view a larger portion of the chat history while reading.
The company confirmed that all messages and calls will remain protected with end-to-end encryption technology, like its applications on phones.
The company explained in its blog that it plans to add more features to this version in the future, in order to improve the user experience.
This application will be available on the Apple Watch Series 4 and later, or watches running WatchOS 10.
Earlier this year, Apple launched a version for iPad devices.
