In an initiative that reflects the spirit of innovation and scientific thinking, students Jumana Murtada Muhammad, Maryam Hood Ahmed, and Fatima Abdul Basit Abdul Jabbar from Al-Istiqlal Secondary School for Girls succeeded in implementing a distinguished technical project entitled (Automatic Pharmacy).

The student team said that its project relies on artificial intelligence techniques and a robotic arm to digitally read patients’ data and prescriptions, determine the required medications, and dispense them automatically, which contributes to facilitating their access, especially the elderly and those with chronic diseases, to their medications quickly and accurately, without the need to wait or deal directly with a pharmacist.

Ms. Jamila Omar, coordinator of the school’s Robotics Committee, explained that this project falls within the framework of harnessing modern technology to serve the community, through its endeavor to develop health services, in an achievement that reflects the excellence of female students and their leadership in the fields of scientific innovation, and enhances the culture of creativity within the school environment, in light of the Ministry of Education’s support for these efforts in public schools.
