An elderly man breathed his last and 5 others were injured following a collision between a truck and a bus near the Beni Mazar ambush on the Western Desert Road in Minya Governorate. A report was issued regarding the incident.
An elderly person was killed and 5 others were injured in an accident in Minya
The details of the incident date back to when the security services in the Minya Security Directorate received a report from the emergency services stating that a transport vehicle had collided with a bus on the Western Desert Road and that there were injured and dead people.
Immediately, the security services, supported by ambulances, moved to the scene of the accident. It was found that an elderly man was killed and 5 others were injured. The body was transferred to the hospital morgue at the disposal of the investigating authorities, and the injured were transferred to receive treatment at Samalout Model Hospital.
Upon preliminary inspection and according to eyewitnesses, it was found that the cause of the accident was an incorrect overtaking by the driver of the transport vehicle, which caused the accident.
A report was prepared, legal measures were taken, and the competent authorities were notified to initiate investigations.
