Tesla outperforms Nissan in the sales of electric cars in Japan
From January to August, nearly 6,590 new Tesla cars were sold throughout Japan, and this represents an enormous jump by 87% compared to the previous year, and it has already exceeded the strongest year for the brand ever in Japan when it sold 5,900 cars in 2022, and it achieved special popular Tesla models in August, where approximately 980 cars were sold, and this number was more than twice as much sold in August the past.
So far, Tesla is now behind Nissan, about 100 electric cars, and Nissan has kept the title of best -selling electric cars in Japan for nearly 15 years, according to the Nikki Asian newspaper, thanks to the Lev.
The large discounts in Tesla prices contributed to increasing the company’s popularity.
