Ahmed Sharif, the latest deals of Zamalek Club, expressed his pride in wearing the white shirt, stressing that his desire to play for the club outperformed any material temptations, stressing that the presence of Zamalek is a dream that he has always had since childhood.

Sherif said, in exclusive statements to the “Mercato” program on Radio On Sport FM, that joining Zamalek is a long -awaited step, stressing: “For years, I hope to wear the Zamalek shirt, and today the dream is achieved.” He added: “Zamalek is a big club, and it includes a group of the most prominent players, which makes the competition within the team strong, but that will be a motive for development and achieve the best.”
John Edward is a major reason for the deal
Ahmed Sharif explained that the presence of sports director John Edward played an important role in his transfer to Zamalek, saying: “We worked together in Varco, and there is a great understanding between us, and I trust that his presence will help me to provide a distinguished level.”

Sharif praised the former leader of Zamalek, Shikabala, describing him as “the legend that will not be repeated”, and said: “I was hoping to play next to him, but unfortunately I was not lucky, and I only confronted him.” He also praised his new colleague Abdullah Al -Saeed, describing him as one of the most skilled players in the Egyptian football.

Sharif stressed that the decision to join Zamalek was not based on the financial compensation, but rather on his full conviction of the club’s value, saying: “Even if another club was offered more money, I would have chosen Zamalek, because for me more than my money.”

Sharif explained that playing in a club the size of Zamalek enhances his chances of joining the national team, which is one of its future goals, noting that being on the list of Pharaohs is a dream that he seeks to achieve with full force. As for the upcoming competition with Al -Ahly, he said: “We realize that it is difficult, but our goal is to win and make the fans of Zamalek.”
