The Ministry of Health and Population revealed the creation of a number of specific medical services in the hospitals of the General Authority for Health Insurance during the past ten years, in the period from 2015 to 2025, as part of the state’s efforts to develop the health care system.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the list of new services included a number of surgeries, including shoulder joint surgeries, joint changes for hemophilia patients, in addition to orthopedic oncology surgery, skull bottoming, as well as endoscopic surgeries, eradication of women’s tumors, and facial and jaw surgeries.
Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the package of services that have been included in recent years also included blood transfusion services, albumin injections for liver patients, injecting biological therapy, dialysis for children, and dialysis for concentrated care patients, as well as sampling services under the radiation from the liver, chest, and lymph nodes, as well as the radiation service with the dye on the uterus, magnetic resonance The interventional that has become a pillar in diagnosis and careful treatment.
In the field of dentistry, Abdul Ghaffar added that the authority has introduced a number of developed services, including dental treatment for children under the influence of total anesthesia, providing fixed crowns for students under the age of 18, as well as root treatments using the rotari and IPEX Lokter, in addition to optical fillings and ultrasound.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Mustafa, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Insurance, affirmed the full commitment of the commission to implement the directives of the political leadership, within the comprehensive strategic plan for the development of the authority, as one of the main pillars in the Ministry of Health and Population system, stressing that the authority is proceeding to implement the scheduled axes of work, ensuring the improvement of the quality of medical and treatment services provided to citizens.
