During the implicit tour, Walid Jamal Al -Din, head of the General Authority for the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal, pointed to the great importance of the station, pointing out that it is targeted to become one of the largest caro service centers RORO in the eastern Mediterranean region, benefiting from its strategic location on the Suez Canal, which enhances the competitiveness of the East Port Said Port, noting that the project will contribute effectively to efforts Settlement and development of the auto industry in Egypt.

The Prime Minister listened to an explanation of the paintings on the capabilities of the project and the position of progress of business, where Ashraf Osama, CEO of Suez Automobile Channel SCAT, explained that the station will be the first specialized station to provide the services of rolling vehicles for cars and vehicles in Egypt, pointing out that the development and operation of the station is done according to a 30 -year concession agreement.

He added that the Scat alliance is a French -Japanese alliance, and it includes three major international companies, namely: Africa Global Logistics of the MSC Group, and has the largest shipping line in the world; Toyota Tsusho Corporation of the Toyota Group; In addition to NYK, which is the largest operator of rolling ships in the world.

He also pointed out that the station is located on an area of ​​212 thousand square meters, along a 600 -meter berth, and aims to circulate 50 thousand vehicles annually, with investments of 159 million dollars, adding that the project will provide 400 direct job opportunities.

With regard to the executive position of the project, Ashraf Osama pointed out that the project’s completion rate currently exceeded 90%, and it is expected to complete the work of the implementation of the station next July, as work is done in coordination with the General Authority of the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal to prepare the station to receive the first ship.
