D. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry’s headquarters today, Sanya Nishtar, CEO of the Global Alliance for vaccine and immunization, on the occasion of her visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, aspects of joint cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Evidence, in the fields related to the vaccine and immunization industry, were discussed as a basic requirement to provide health care and ensure the safety of community members of deadly diseases and epidemics.
The Foreign Minister reviewed the contents of the initiative presented by the Kingdom of Bahrain during the Arab Summit held in May 2024 AD, which relates to providing health care for those affected by conflicts and disputes in the region, developing the drug and vaccine industry in the Arab countries, and ensuring the availability of medicine and treatment, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to follow up on the implementation of this initiative in cooperation with the World Health Organization and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States as it relates to one of the basic human rights and is the right to Health.
Sanya Nishtar expressed her happiness with the visit of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, praising the initiative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to provide health services to those affected by conflicts in the region, and expressed the coalition welcomed to cooperate and coordinate with the ministry to support efforts to achieve this initiative on the ground because of its supreme humanitarian goals.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations, and Mr. Hatem Abdel Hamid Hatem, Head of the Organizations Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
