The House of Representatives has finished discussing the Medical Responsibility Law with the final approval of the law, which was welcomed by the Medical Syndicate and the National Council for Human Rights.
Does the medical responsibility law allow for reconciliation?
The law allows in Article 30, where it states that the victim, his private agent, his heirs, or their private agent requests to request the investigation or the competent court, according to the conditions, and in any case the case, to prove the composition with the accused in the crimes stipulated in this law.
The investigation authority orders the suspension of the execution of the penalty if the reconciliation took place during its implementation, even after the ruling after the ruling, and the conciliation results in the expiration of the criminal case, and there is no effect to reconcile the rights of the victim from the crime or the civil lawsuit.
It also indicates that the recognition of reconciliation is before the friendly settlement committee formed in accordance with the provisions of this law, provided that it is presented to the investigation or the competent court according to the conditions for its approval, and the conciliation with the same effects contained in the previous paragraph.
The Medical Syndicate thanked and appreciated the counselor, Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, for his great efforts and continuous support during the discussion of the draft medical responsibility and the patient’s safety.
The union also expressed its thanks and appreciation to the members of the House of Representatives for their active role in introducing some amendments to the draft law, and the government’s response to it, in order to ensure the provision of a safe and reassuring work environment for doctors during the treatment of our families of patients in the best way.
