NASA satellite agency, in cooperation with the SpaceX company, has announced the launch of a giant space observatory called “SPAREX”, on an ambitious mission aimed at studying the expansion of the universe and exploring the secrets of the Milky Way.
The observatory was launched from the state of California, with four satellites for the study of the planet and drawing detailed maps of the sky.
“Safirix” is one of the most powerful space observatories that aims to draw a detailed map of more than 100 million stars inside the Milky Way, study cosmic glow and reveal the secrets of the universe explosions and its expansion, as well as searching for the basic elements of life between ice clouds in the galaxy, exploring new solar systems and understanding the nature of galaxies.
The space observatory revolves around the Earth at a rate of 11 times a day at a height of 650 km, as it depends on advanced techniques to take detailed images of the sky using wave dimensions close to infrared.
This data will contribute to a detailed maps of the Earth and space, which paves the way for larger scientific discoveries.
The cost of the project
The cost of the “Savirix” project exceeded the 488 million dollar barrier, which reflects the importance of this task in enhancing scientists’ understanding of the expansion of the universe and the formation of galaxies.
NASA’s legacy in exploring space
The launch of “Safirx” comes after a series of successes that NASA has achieved in space exploring, most notably the Hubble Space Telescope, which revealed many facts about the universe.
Safirix is expected to achieve a pioneering march of scientific discoveries that will expand the horizons of human knowledge.
