This came during the closing ceremony of the first edition of Hakaton, “Cyber ​​Security Guards”, which was held under the auspices of His Highness, organized by the Nasser Al -Alami and Technical Center, and the National Center for Cyber ​​Security and Bahrain University, in the presence of Sheikh Khaled bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Adviser, Deputy Secretary -General The Supreme Defense Council and a number of officials and representatives of educational and technological institutions in the Kingdom.

Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, during the opening of the ceremony, expressed his happiness and pride in the distinguished projects and ideas presented by the participants, stressing that it stems from a promising vision of Bahraini youth and their aspirations in the field of cybersecurity.

The ceremony also witnessed the honoring of the winning ideas in the first places, where the Al -Naseem International School team won first place, while the Bahrain Technical College Team (Politkank) won the second place and the University of Bahrain in the third place. Two teams from the Nasser Al -Alami and Technical Center also received the leadership and excellence awards in cybersecurity in the secondary school category.

The closing ceremony included the opening of the exhibition of qualified ideas in Hackathon, “Cyber ​​Security Guard, which included 23 ideas that qualified out of more than 500 participants and participating in the hackathon from 52 governmental and private educational institutions and universities.

Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al -Nuaimi, CEO of the Nasser Al -Alami and Technical Center, expressed his happiness with the success of the first edition of the Hakathon, noting that this event came as a common cooperation between the National Center for Cyber ​​Security and the University of Bahrain and that this cooperation contributed as an incubating platform for innovation, where these efforts resulted in On wide participation and strong competition between secondary and universities teams.

Expressing his deep thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his patronage and constant support for the center’s initiatives and his belief in the ideas and capabilities of Bahraini youth, and to all organizers, arbitrators and volunteers who contributed to the success of this event.
