We’re Ready To End Land Grabbing In Ogun – Amosun

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has assured citizens of his administration’s resolve to put an end to issues relating to land grabbing in the State.

Amosun gave the assurance at his campaign in Ifo, Ifo Local Government Area, saying, “we’re ready and determined to put an end to all of those criminal activities because it is unacceptable to us in Ogun State”.

Governor Amosun said his administration would not allow a situation, where criminals would violently take possession of other people’s land without any consequence, adding that government would ensure that the Land Grabbing Law of the State was enforced.

Meanwhile, Governor Amosun at the 60th birthday of the Archbishop of Lagos Ecclesiastical Province and Bishop, Diocese of Remo, Most Rev. Michael Olusina Fape, has said that he would embrace anyone that becomes the next governor of the State in the forth coming election.

He disclosed this at Our Saviour’s Anglican Church, Ikenne, Remo in Ikenne area of the State, saying, “for me, in the final analysis, anyone that wins should win and I will personally embrace the person because I don’t want anything to spoil the good administration that the Lord had helped us to build in the State”.

Amosun who called for continued prayers and support of the people of the State, said what propelled him was the fact that, ‘’everybody will eventually answer the call of nature one day, no matter who you are”.

Speaking on the security that the State now enjoys, the Chief Security Officer of the State said, “If there is one thing I thank God Almighty for, it is the security, and peaceful coexistence that we are now enjoying’’.

He added that when his government came on board, the State was ranked 29th in the comity of states in the country, in the ease of doing business but now in the second position, based on the provision of adequate security and infrastructure.
