Three Die, 13 Injured In Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway Crash
No fewer than three persons who include two men and a woman have died in a crash involving a Mazda bus with registration number APP 297 YC Sunday evening, August 14, 2022 at Day waterman along Abeokuta-Kobape-Siun road.
Eye witness account, a survivor says the driver of the bus was allegedly driving recklessly and was cautioned by some passengers but he did not heed the warning and as a result one of the rear tyres burst and the bus subsequently somersaulted.
Investigation further reveals that the bus was coming from the Redeem camp and that the passengers were allegedly among the congregation of the just concluded 70th Convention tagged Perfect Jubilee.
In a statement by the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps,TRACE, out of 16 passengers including the driver, three persons died and thirteen sustained injuries
The statement adds that those injured in the crash were immediately taken to the State Hospital, Ijaiye and federal medical centre, Abeokuta for treatment while bodies of the deceased deposited at the morgue, State Hospital, Ijaiye.
