Six Ogun Exco Members Resign To Pursue Elective Offices

Six Executive Council members in the cabinet of the Ogun State Government have resigned their appointment to pursue various elective positions in the coming general elections.

The members including, Commissioners for Agriculture, Information & Strategy and that of Special Duties and Intergovernmental affairs, Mrs. Adebajo Adepeju, Chief Adedayo Adeneye and Barr. Leke Adewolu, respectively resigned during the 54th Executive Council meeting, held at the Governor’s Office in Abeokuta.

Others include, Commissioners for Forestry, Education, Science and Technology, their counterpart from Urban & Physical Planning ministry, Prince Kolawole Lawal, Mrs. Modupe Mujota, Mrs. Ronke Shokefun, who is to resume as Chairman, Board of Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) and the Director General, Bureau of Lands & Survey, Mr. Biyi Ismail.

Speaking, the State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, in a special valedictory session, thanked them for their selfless services to the State, as well as the support given to his administration, wishing them well in their future endeavours.

In their remarks, the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga, Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Taiwo Adeoluwa and the Head of Service, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu, appreciated their immense services and contributions to the development of the State.

The erstwhile Commissioners also took turn to speak by thanking the Governor and the entire team for the opportunity to serve, saying Governor Amosun has been able to form a formidable team towards the mission to rebuild the State for the benefit of the people.
