Former Chairman, Senate Commitee on Privatisation in the Seventh Assembly, Senator Olugbenga Onaolapo Obadara has received nomination and expression of Interest form from The Egba Descendants Union ( EGBE OMO EGBA PARAPO) to contest for Ogun Central Senatorial seat in the 2023 general elections.
The well-wishers, who graced Obadara’s residence in Abeokuta, presented the Twenty Million Naira All Progressives Congress (A-P-C) form to Senator Obadara saying his antecedents when he was in the Senate between 2011-2015 were exceptional, hence, the decision to choose him and to mobilise the electorate to return him to the Senate in 2023.
The group says in the history of Egbaland nobody in the Senate has ever matched his records either in monumental projects, entrepreneurial skills empowerments or raising of the standards of living of people across the six Local Governments of Ogun Central Senatorial District.
Responding, Senator Gbenga Obadara commended the Egba Descendant Union, Friends and Well-wishers, promising to deliver more dividends of democracy to all wards in Ogun Central Senatorial District, Ogun state in general and Nigeria as a whole just like he did, in the Seventh Assembly.
While seeking people’s support for his second term ambition, Senator Obadara urged Ogun residents to obtain their permanent voters’ cards (PVCs) and participate In the upcoming 2023 elections and vote for all the candidates of All Progressives Congress across the State.
