Ogun Urges Workforce To Avail Themselves On Training Opportunities

 

Town planners in Ogun State have been urged to avail themselves to training opportunities as this would enable them maximise their productivity.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Urban and Physical Planning, Tpl (Mrs.) Yetunde Dina gave this advice while declaring open a one-day workshop organised for the middle level man power in the ministry.

Dina stated that the Ministry could not afford to fail in carrying out its statutory responsibilities as its activities  was crucial to the success of the Mission to Rebuild of the present administration.

‘’The theme for the workshop ‘’The Role of the Middle Level Man Power as a Catalyst to the Mission to Rebuild Ogun State,’’ was carefully chosen to meet the demand of the present administration and assist you in meeting the expectations of your offices in the future.’’ Mrs. Dina said.

The Director, Planning, Research and statistics Tpl. Bola Ajayi who doubled as the Chairman, Training Committee in the Ministry, enjoined the participants to seize the opportunity of the workshop to ask questions that would help them to discharge their duties and enhance productivity.

Two of the participants, Tpl. (Mrs.) Afolake Okuneye and Tpl. Adekunle Agboola in separate interviews, said the workshop would help them in service delivery, pleading with the management of the Ministry not to relent in the training and retraining of workforce on regular basis.
