Robbers Engage Police in Gun Duel in Ogun, One Arrested

Armed robbers engaged men of Ogun state police command in gun battle at Ipamesan area of Sango ota on the 15th May 2021
In a statement signed by Police Public Relations officer Abimbola Oyeyemi, Ogun State DPO, Ota divisional headquarters, Godwin Idehai received a distress call that robbers were operating at Ipamesan area, and that they had already burgled a warehouse in the area. Upon the distress call, the DPO, quickly mobilized his patrol team, and moved to the scene.
Ogun state Command noted that due to the superior firepower of the policemen, the armed robbers abandoned the two robbed vehicles, a Lexus RS 330 with registration number FKJ 691 FW snatched  from one Dosumu Kazeem, and a Toyota Matrix with registration number MUS 835 FW  from one Ibrahim Lateef.
More items recovered from the accused are: one long gun, 41 laptops, 2DVD players, 2 phones, and 3 tablets gadgets
The Command also arrested one of the robbers, identified as Henry Obe .
Meanwhile, the commissioner of police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.
The Police boss also directed the crack detectives, to go after the remaining members of the gang, with the view to bring them to justice within the shortest possible period.
