OGSG Set To Distribute Basic Equipment To Primary Health Centres
The Ogun State Government is set to distribute basic equipment to Primary Health Care Centres across the state, in line with the Saving One Million Lives Performance for Result (SOMLP for R) initiative.
A release signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Nafiu Olatunde Aigoro, indicated that the SOMLP for R, an initiative of Federal government, that seeks to increase utilization and quality of high impact maternal child health and nutrition interventions, particularly, at Primary Health Care (PHC) level, through incentive giving states that are able to demonstrate improvement in maternal and child health indicators.
The release added that the distribution of the equipment would be carried out by the Ogun State Ministry of health to the PHCs across the 20 Local Government Areas and the 37 Local Council Development Areas, based on the needs assessment conducted during the integrated supportive supervision (ISS), in line with the guiding principles of the SOML P for R on improving indentified gaps in maternal and child health service delivery in PHCs.
