Ogun SWAN mourns the death of an ICON

 

The Sport Writers Association of Nigerian (SWAN), Ogun State chapter join the rest of the media world, as well as family, friends and associates, to mourn one of our own Kolade Olanrewaju.

In a Press Release, the Ogun State SWAN Chairman, Hakeem Akintunde said Late Kolade Olanrewaju was known by many as former Ogun State correspondent of Vanguard Newspaper and media aide to former state deputy Governor, Prince Segun Adesegun, but indeed the deceased was also a sport journalist.

Thus, as a result we join in this moment of grief and loss. Late Olanrewaju passed on at the age of 59 after a suspected cardiac arrest.

The deceased as touched many lives, including the lives of those that can be seen as senior reporters and Journalist today. His death is a great loss to the media family not only in Ogun State but in Nigeria.

We pray that God should uphold the family he left behind and give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
