Ogun State Government to Complete Road Projects

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun says on – going road projects in the state will soon be completed as part of efforts by his Administration in providing good road network for economic in the state.
The Governor stated this while inspecting three key road projects in Lafenwa – Ayetoro, Panseke – Adigbe – Opako and Oke lantoro – Elite – Idi Aba all in Abeokuta, the state Capital.
Governor Abiodun who described the project as major arterial road between Ogun Central and West promised that more funds will be allocated to the on – going construction of fifty three kilometers Lafenwa – Ayetoro road to ensure its early completion for smooth passage and also to boost socio – economic activities in the area.
The Governor added that those deplorable portions that require immediate repairs will be attended to especially the road towards Lafenwa market and make them motorable for travellers going to Ayetoro from Abeokuta.
Assuring that the three kilometers Panseke – Adigbe – Opako road will be completed by the second week of May, Governor Abiodun disclosed that he has directed that the road project be extended by one and half kilometers to address the perennial flooding and submerging of Opako Culvert and also to ease Vehicular movement between Obafemi Owode and Abeokuta South Local Government Areas.
In the meantime, Governor Dapo Abiodun has assured residents of Oke lantoro – Elite – Idi Aba road that the faulty transformer serving the communities will be fixed before Easter Celebration.
The Governor who advised residents to desist from dumping refuse into the canal, disclosed that the drainage system along Oke lantoro – Elite – Idi Aba has been redesigned with a promise to dredge the canal on the road for free flow of water.
