Ogun Police arrest two suspected kidnappers at point of ransom collection

Ogun State Police Command on Sunday, October 3rd,2021 has arrested two suspected kidnappers, Muhammed Abubakar, 42 years old and Clinton Niche, 18 years old while trying to pick ransom money
In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi,
the father of the victim, Stephen Ajibili in a report lodged at Agbara Area command says his seven years old son, Daniel Ajibili had been abducted by unknown persons while on an errand and that the abductors had called to demand for one million naira ransome.
Some detectives were subsequently mobilized  to go after the kidnappers and they were later arrested while trying to collect the ransom from the victim’s parents
 The suspects who also led the Police to a bush where their abductee was tied to a tree disclosed that they are three in number and that the third person had fled the scene when he realized they had been arrested
In the meantime, the state acting commissioner of police, DCP Abiodun Alamutu, has ordered immediate transfer of the suspects to anti kidnapping section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation. He also ordered the fleeing member of the gang be arrested and  brought to justice within the shortest possible period.
