Ogun LG Election: TRACE to enforce restriction order on Saturday

Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE says restriction order on vehicular movement for the local government election on Saturday July 24th from 8am to 2pm will be enforced in collaboration with other sister agencies.

In a statement by the Corps’s Commander/Chief Executive CDR Seni Ogunyemi, All area commanders, Divisional commanders, Unit Commanders and Head of Squads, have been put on red alert to synergize with other services in the scope of their command’s structure to ensure orderliness during and after the election period.

The statement adds that officers have been directed to scan, track and locate suspicious movement and provide adequate information on any infraction for action and also place on standby rescue equipment for quick response to emergency and traffic challenges before, during and after the election, as well as, ensure that vehicles with voting materials get to their locations promptly without hindrance.

TRACE also urged members of the public, particularly the electorate, to respect and uphold the rules and regulations guiding restriction on both human and vehicular movement for a hitch free and credible Local Government Election in the State.
