Ogun HoS seeks Old Students’ Partnership to Develop Education.

Old Students’ Associations in Ogun State have been called upon to partner government in providing more infrastructures and instructional materials, to foster development of schools in the State.

The State Head of Service, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu made the call while receiving the delegation of the Old Students’ Association of Egba Comprehensive High School, Asero, Abeokuta, during a courtesy visit to his office at Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta.

The HoS urged the various Students’ Associations to support their alma maters, as a way of giving back to the sources that laid the foundation for their success in life.

Bisiriyu who is a member of the 1977 set, said, in spite of government’s allocation of over 20 percent of the State’s annual budget to education, a lot was still required to uplift the standard of public schools, noting that no effort would be spared in taking the sector to greater heights.

Earlier in his address, the National President of the Association, Engr. Abubakar Abari, commended the Governor for appointing one of them as the number one Civil Servant in the State, expressing the hope that the new HoS would perform based on his training and exposure.

He urged old students of the school in the State Service, to be diligent and engage in acts that would further promote and bring the name of the school to limelight.
