OGSG Sets Criteria For CDCs Registration

Ogun State Government has said, Community Development Committees (CDCs) that wish to apply for certificates of registration should have at least 40 functioning Community Development Associations (CDAs) under their jurisdiction.

 

The State Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Gbenga Adenmosun, who disclosed this at the presentation of Certificate of Registration to Bisodun Area Community Development Committee, Ofada/Mokoloki, Local Council Development Area, added that the Committees must have embarked on some self-help projects, while there must be unity among the people living in those communities.

 

He enjoined Committee leaders not to rest on their oars in sustaining the ongoing developmental stride in the State, stressing the need for them to always live in harmony with other members of the community.

 

The Chairman, Ofada/Mokoloki LCDA, Alhaja Kudirat Balogun, in her remark, said Community Development Committees have been helping in the infrastructure development of the local government, promising to always provide enabling environment for them to strive.

 

Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman, Bisodun Area Community Development Committee, Alhaji Ganiyu Olanrewaju, appreciated the State government for its continued support to the Associations and its efforts at developing the Local Councils.
