The Ogun State Government has applauded the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, for his developmental initiatives aimed at developing Remoland, thereby making life more meaningful for natives and residents in the area.

          The State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affair, Chief Jide Ojuko, gave this commendation at the 1st Coronation Anniversary of Akarigbo, held in Sagamu.

          ‘’Having listened to the  programmes put in place to bring development to Remo land, i am convinced that this would make the area a model and indeed a cynosure of other division and ethnic groupings all over’’, he said.

           Governor Amosun while congratulating the Monarch, expressed hope that, with all the activities put together; his reign would be eventful and fruitful, wishing him a successful reign.

          Speaking earlier, Oba Ajayi said he was out to make a difference, thanking all Royal Fathers, Remo Professionals and indigenes, for contributing their quotas towards the development of the land.

          The monarch noted that the establishment of Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RGDF) was borne out the desire to rigorously pursue the goals and objectives of bringing development to all the towns and communities in Remoland, adding that the foundation has recorded several giant strides in the last one year.

          Some of the achievements according to Oba Ajayi included; construction of Nigeria Immigration Office and the on-going construction of Alternative Dispute Resolution Office, due for completion soon, saying that other projects and activities are in the pipeline.

          He urged all Royal Fathers who are patrons of RGDF and all sons and daughters of Remoland to strive to sustain the vision of developing the area for the benefit of all.

          In his remarks, the Co-chairman, RGDF, Aare Kola Oyefeso said the foundation, which parades seasoned professionals, has made tremendous progress in the last one year and would not rest on its oar, to achieve more and give Remo indigenes a sense of belonging.
