OGSWC Completes Relocation Of Water Pipes At Kugba, Abeokuta

Residents of Kugba, Abeokuta and its environs have applauded the State Government for prompt relocation and completion of water pipelines in the area.

 Speaking on behalf of residents in an interview with newsmen, Mr Ayo Jamiu, appreciated the State government for the prompt relocation of pipes and restoring portable water to the area, after the disruption, caused by the on-going road expansion.

On her part, the General Manager, Engr Monsurat Agboola, during an inspection visit to the area, said government would not relent in its efforts at ensuring the water supply gets to all areas, irrespective of the road expansion.

“We are committed to ensure that water flows through all areas.  We are glad that the State government is supporting the Corporation at all times,” she said.

Engr Agboola said that portable water is now flowing at Isokan Kugba, St Mary, Oke–Efon, Oju-Ina Oke, Nifaaji junction, Oke-efon, Iyana Baba Owo, Elega, among other places.

While calling for co-operation, the GM enjoined those who were affected by the disconnection, to visit the Headquarters of the Corporation for reconciliation and reconnection, as all hands are on deck to serve them better.
