NIWE Abeokuta Set to Inaugurate Engr. Sakiru Onososen as 3rd Chairman

The Nigerian Institution of Water Engineers NIWE, Abeokuta Chapter is set to inaugurate Engr. Sakiru Onososen as the Abeokuta Chapter’s 3rd Chairman and Executive Committee members of the professional body as well as confer fellowship awards on deserving individuals.

In a release signed by the Chairman, Inauguration planning committee, Chairman, Planning Committee, Engr. Sakirudeen Ayinde Salaam, the event is billed to take place on Wednesday, 21st April, 2021 at the Oba’s complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta by 11:00am. The event will also feature a memorial lecture in honour of the Past National Chairman of the division, the 1st Engr. J. A. O Akinbowale memorial lecture with the theme: “Water Supply Management in Ogun State; Prospects, Challenges and Way Forward”

 

Expected to do justice to the theme of the lecture is the Former executive Director/CEO National Water Resources Institute, Kaduna, Engr. Dr. O. A Bamgboye.

Also expected at the event are eminent personalities including Engr. Tunde Sogbaike FNSE, Engr. Babatunde Kuye, Surveyor (Dr) Ken-Salem Onososen and Asiwaju Engr. Ojeshina

According to the release, Engr. Chinyere Igwegbe, National Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Water Engineers will lead delegates from the Abeokuta chapter on a courtesy visits to the Ogun State water corporation, Ogun Oshun River Basin Development Authority and the Arakanga dam.

Salaam however added that Covid-19 protocols will be strictly adhered to at the event.
