“NIEEE is my Constituency” – VC Covenant University, Prof AAA Atayero

 
The Vice Chancellor of Covenant University –  the leading Private University in Nigeria, Prof. Aderemi Aaron – Anthony Atayero has pledged his committment to continuously support the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE) Abeokuta Chapter. This was made known to the Abeokuta Chapter Chairman of NIEEE, Engr. Felix Adegboye during a short courtesy call today, Thursday 14th February, 2019.

“NIEEE and IEEE are my constituencies, and thats where I’m going back to, after retirement”, Engr. Prof. Atayero stated this during the visit. He promised to continually support the institute in all her activities. He described the Electrical Engineers as goal getter, skilled with sound and great intellectual abilities and capabilities.

While extending the regards of the NIEEE National Chairman, Engr. John Funso- Adebayo, FNIEEE who is a friend to the VC, the NIEEE Abeokuta Chapter Chairman, Engr. Felix Adegboye, said the purpose of the visit was to acquaint the VC on the activities of the institute and requested for his support for the Electrical Engineers and the Institute at large.

Thereafter, the visit was extended to the office of another distinguished  Electrical Engineer, the  Director Academic Planing Unit, Covenant University Prof. Francis E.  Idachaba who also promised to support the Institute.

The Chairman Engr. Felix Adegboye was accompanied by the Abeokuta Vice Chairman of NIEEE Engr. Olumayowa Idowu on the courtesy visit.

Prof. AAA. Atayero as an Astute  Electrical Engineer

Engr. Prof. Atayero has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Radio Engineering and a Master of Science Degree in Satellite Communication Systems in 1992 and 1994 respectively. He earned his PhD from the Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation (MSTUCA) in 2000. A professor of communication engineering, Atayero is a Fellow of the Science Association of Nigeria (FSAN), Chartered Institute of Administration (FCIA); Chartered Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC); as well as a Senior Research Fellow of the International Association of Research Scholars and Administrators. Atayero is a COREN Registered Engineer and member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), NIEEE and other professional bodies. He has published over a hundred scientific papers in International peer-reviewed journals and proceedings.
