All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Ogun State chapter, has pledged that the association would continue to work with the State government to revamp the education sector, with a view to producing academically sound students, at both junior and senior secondary levels.
The new President of the association, Dr. (Mrs.) Womiloju Ayodele, who made the pledge during a courtesy visit to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Alhaji Sefiu Rasheed, said the aim of the association was to partner the State government for the betterment of students, in terms of academic and morals standards.
The President noted that ANCOPSS was a professional body which seeks to promote high educational standard in public secondary schools, calling for support from both the Ministry of Education and the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).
Speaking on the unified examination in schools, Ayodele said the association has ensured maintenance of standard, pointing out that the provision of infrastructural facilities and instructional materials have served as catalyst to improve standard of education in the school.
The Permanent Secretary appreciated the association for it un-relented efforts at ensuring standard in education, adding that government would continue to relate with them, as they serve as mentors and coordinators to teachers in the State.
