New Agura Unveiled

The Ogun State Executive Council has formally approved the selection and appointment of Oba Saburee Babajide Bakre as the Agura of Gbagura – Elect in Abeokuta North Local Government Area.

The declaration is in accordance with the section 23 (1) of the Chiefs law, law of Ogun State of Nigeria, 2006 following a successful selection process by the Gbagura regency council, headed by Chief Adio Baiyewu.

The Oba – Elect from the Egiri ruling house has been presented to the people of Gbagura Nation.

By this appointment, Oba Saburee Babajide Bakre has become a permanent member of Ogun State Council of Obas and a member of Egba Traditional council.

A legal notice of this appointment will be published in the Ogun State Government gazette in due course. The State Government has therefore congratulated the Oba – Elect and wishes Kabiyesi good health, long life and many years of peaceful and prosperous reign.
