Ogun Police Arrest Kuje Correctional Centre Escapee

Ogun State Police Command has arrested one Yakubu AbdulMumuni, one of the convicts who escaped from the Medium security correctional centre, kuje during an attack on the centre by some bandits on July 5, 2022
In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the convict was arrested following an information received by the Policemen at Sango Ota Divisional headquarters after he was sighted somewhere at Sango Ota.

The convict told the Police that he was convicted in Kogi State for conspiracy and culpable homicide and sent to the Medium security correctional centre, Kuje.

In the meantime, the state commissioner of police, Lanre Bankole has ordered the State criminal investigation department to facilitate the transfer of the convict to the Medium Security Correctional Centre, Kuje without further delays.
