Lagos State Celebrates World Blood Donor Day

The Lagos State Blood transfusion Service under the State Ministry of Health invites the general public to the 2021 World Blood Donor Day Celebration

In a signed statement by the Executive Secretary, Dr  Bodunrin Osikomaiya, the three – day event will kick start on Wednesday 9th June, 2021 at Adeyemi Bero Hall of the State Secretariat, Alausa Ikeja,  and then on Monday 14th June, 2021 at Lagos State Blood Transfussion Service, Gbagada Centre, Lagos and ends on Wednesday 16th June, 2021 with a mega blood donation drive in the 5 Administrative divisions of Lagos State (Ibile)

The statement further added that the theme for this year celebration is “Celebrating the Gift of Blood”.

The special event which will be conducted both physical and virtual will start 10am daily while observing COVID – 19 Protocols
