Ogun Proposes N17.19b For More Housing Projects

The Ogun State Ministry of Housing is proposing a budget of N17, 196, 948, 938bn  for year 2018 to enable it execute  more housing projects in the State.
Commissioner for Housing, Arc. Segun Abiodun made this known while defending the budget before the State House Committee on Finance and Appropriation at the Assembly Complex in Abeokuta.
She said the Ministry intended to spend N11, 760,000,000bn on capital projects while the sum of N5, 436,948,938bn would be used for recurrent expenditure adding that it also intended to generate the sum of N5bn as  Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in the coming year.
Arc. Abiodun  highlighted some of the capital projects to be embarked upon by the Ministry to include; the  development of Housing scheme at Ipokia for the new Ogun State Polytechnic, construction of mechanized work sheds at Ilaro and Ijebu Ode as well as the completion of site and services scheme at Kobape known as the President Muhammadu Buhari Estate.
The ministry also proposed the construction of Adire Shopping Mall, new Government City with an office and residential accommodation for government functionaries, construction of new residence for the Speaker, architectural Studio and development of Housing scheme at Isorosi- Ota among others.
Meanwhile on the President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB) Estate the Commissioner has called on interested buyers to come to the Ministry and pick up their application forms.
