The death has been announced of a prominent Community leader and the Iya Adinni of lsoku mosque ljebu Ode, Alhaja Sikiratu Adunni Awere. Aged 97.
Alhaja Awere died yesterday night at her residence, No 1, Oguntuga Street, ljebu Ode. Her remains would be buried today at 2pm in Ijebu Ode according to muslim rites and in line with Covid 19 protocols.
In a statement by the family, the 8th day fidau prayers and final burial rites for the deceased are to be held on Monday, 18th January at her No 1, Oguntuga Street, ljebu Ode.
Alhaja Sikirat Adunni Awere, a business woman and a philanthropist par excellence in her lifetime is survived by many children, Grand children sand Great Grand children among whom is Alhaji Abiodun Awere, who is the Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Information and Strategy
