I’m a long distance runner says Amosun

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has likened his remaining two months in office to the last lapse of a long distance race, a period which he said was the time to draw more strength from within and run the more, for the medal.

Amosun who disclosed this while speaking with newsmen shortly after inspecting some semi-urban roads under construction in Ogun East senatorial district, described himself as a national athlete, who represented the country in long distance races, to include 500m, 5000m and 18,000m.

Leading members of his cabinet, including Permanent Secretaries to inspect the Ijebu-Imushin/Owu-Ikija, Balogun-Kuku, Ikangba, Italapo, Degun and Oke-Aje market roads, the Governor said, “all the drainages are ready, we are now ready for asphalting”.

He noted that his administration was determined and focused with the eyes on the ball, saying, “all our landmark projects such as; the 250 bed Ultra Modern hospital, the Judicial Complex, the Ogun State Television Complex, Ogere International market, Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia and the Adire/Kampala modern market would be completed and commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Amosun pledged that his administration would work to the very last day in office, while assuring that all projects under construction would be completed.
