Mrs. Amosun Gives More Succour To Traders In Ogun

Wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun has provided boreholes and generating sets to Adatan and Panseke markets both in Abeokuta South Local Government Area, as well as Lafenwa market in Abeokuta North LGA,  to enhance trading.

Speaking during the commissioning of the boreholes, Mrs. Amosun said the facilities were provided in fulfilment of the promise made to the market men and women during the commissioning of the Uplift toilets at the three markets.

The First Lady thanked the people of the State, particularly the people of Ogun Central District for their support at ensuring victory for the Governor at the last Presidential and National Assembly elections.

She called on the people to ensure continuity of governance in the State by voting the right candidates into power in the next coming elections, to enable them enjoy more dividends of democracy.

Contributing, the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Abiola Kufile-Okonjo, commended the Wife of the Governor for uplifting the lives of the needy, especially market men and women, urging the traders to continue supporting the government, as the Ibikunle Amosun led-administration was committed to meeting people’s needs.

Responding, the Iyaloja of Adatan Mrs. Afusat Amoje appreciated Mrs. Amosun for fulfilling her promise to the people by providing water facilities for the market, saying this would promote healthy environment in the market.

She pledged their continued support for the present administration and the coming government, praying that God would make the coming elections peaceful, free and fair.

In his welcome Address, the Chairman, Abeokuta South Local Government Hon. Lukman Sonekan, said the Wife of the Governor was committed to the welfare of traders in Ogun markets and has kept to her promise of providing water facilities in major markets in the State capital.

The chairman who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Mukaila Awakan, urged the traders to reciprocate the kind gesture by making good use of the facilities provided them.
