The Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has felicitated the Olubara of Ibara Kingdom, Oba Jacob Omolade, on his 90th birthday.
The governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, expressed gratitude to God Almighty for sparing the life of the Olubara whom he described as “a quintessential monarch, whose reign has brought unprecedented development to the Ibara Kingdom, especially his domain in the Capital city of Abeokuta.
Abiodun who eulogized Oba Omolade for his uprightness, wisdom and astuteness, noted that the monarch remains a highly revered traditional ruler not only in Ogun state, but Nigeria.
He noted that as a retired Permanent Secretary in the civil service of Lagos State, the Olubara, brought his public administrative acumen to bear on Ibaraland.
The Governor Prayed for more fruitful years and good health for the monarch, noting that Oba Omolade has been an epitome and embodiment of dignity and integrity on the throne.
While wishing him happy 90th birthday, the governor submitted that the state will continue to drink from the royal goblet of knowledge and wisdom of the nonagenarian for a long time to come.
