Gov Abiodun condoles, sues for Calm

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commiserated with the families of those who have lost their loved ones and properties in the #ENDSARS violence in different parts of the country.
Governor Abiodun in a statement  by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, expressed displeasure at some of the developments in the early hours of today, in the State despite his appeal for peace.
He berated  the burning of Atan Ota Police Station; killing of the Divisional Crime Officer, and one other person; inflicting serious injury on the Divisional Police Officer; sporadic gunshots by hoodlums in some part of the State among other violent acts.
 He therefore called on  protesters to bring the protests to an end and allow for the full implementation of their demands while calling on Security agents to exercise caution in dealing with the protesters to avoid further loss of lives and properties.
The governor who has deployed Security personnel to ensure an end to the violence, directed the Security team to continue to patrol major streets to ensure peace and tranquility in the day-to-day activities of citizens.
He also pleaded with  public and private hospitals to treat all, in need of medical attention brought to their facilities.
The governor called on all law abiding citizen to  report all acts of molestation, breaches of peace or extortion by calling Quick Response Squad 112 (QRS) as law enforcement teams will be on alert to respond quickly.
