FRSC receives appreciation, commendation for prompt rescue operations

A philanthropist and founder of a non-fee paying Secondary School ‘Ifeoluwa College’ in Obafemi Owode Local Government Ogun State, Mr Segun Olusola, has awarded scholarship to 10 children of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) staff who live within the vicinity of the School.

Mr Olusola said the children must be residing between Shagamu Interchange and Siun Town which is the jurisdiction of the school. The Scholarship covers from JSS1 to SSS3, he added.

 

He disclosed this today, Friday, September 11, 2020, when he visited the Ogun Sector Command of the Corps to appreciate the entire FRSC Staff, especially those detailed at Zebra 44, Siun, a suburb of the state for prompt rescue and professionalism to safe the life of his child, Ifeoluwa, whom the school named after, on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, after she was involved in a traffic crash along Abeokuta-Sagamu route, Siun area.

Mr Olusola, presented a Letter of Commendation to FRSC for their commitment for saving lives.

He particularly appreciated the response time to the distress on the victim, Ifeoluwa.

He further said she was taken to two different hospitals by the FRSC operatives where they sought for medical attention on her behalf.

Mr Olusola, said he is highly grateful to the Corps for this act of service to humanity, saying the victim ‘Ifeoluwa’ is said to be stable in one of the hospital.

The Ogun State Sector Commander, CC Ahmed Umar appreciated Mr Olusola for his understanding and commendation to the Corps. He further reiterated that the Corps is committed to carry out prompt rescue operation and ensure the road is safe for all road users.
