Housing Corporation Offers Six Percent Mortgage Facility to Buyers
In a bid to make housing accessible and affordable to the people, Ogun State Housing Corporation, in collaboration with Gateway Mortgage Bank is offering six percent mortgage facility to prospective buyers and staff of the Corporation.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing Development and General Manager of the Corporation, Arch. Jumoke Akinwunmi, made the disclosure during an interactive session with staff of the Corporation, stating that the development would allow for mortgage opportunity, which would enable them own houses.
She said the collaborative efforts of the Corporation and Gateway Mortgage Bank, have paved way for digitalised and computerised operations for easy accessibility of the facilities to prospective buyers wherever they are, through the creation of website for the Corporation.
The General Manager maintained that most of the Corporation’s projects such as, HID Awolowo, A. K. A. Degun, Ibara MEWS and Value Ville Estate, have been priced out of the market, stating that the Corporation would be embarking on some new projects to further reduce the housing deficits in the State.
Akinwunmi assured that the Corporation would sustain the policies of equality and quality, which it was known for, enjoining members of staff to be more committed, so as to achieve more in housing delivery.
Speaking on behalf of the staff, the Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr. Jacob Ogunsile, commended the General Manager on the achievements recorded by the Corporation, extolling her virtues as a sound manager of human and resources.
