The Abeokuta Branch of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has felicitated with muslim faithfuls, especially in the Engineering Profession on the occassion of 2020 Eid-el- Adha (the feast of sacrifice), saying its a season of sacrifice for the collective good.
In the congratulatory message signed by the Branch Chairman, Engr. Olanrewaju Ahmed Apampa, PhD, FNSE,  the Branch urged Muslims to reflect on the essence of the festival.  The Eid-el-Kabir presents an opportunity for us to reflect on the faith, with which the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) set out to sacrifice his son in obedience to the command of Allah.
“In this same vein, we should lay aside all forms of personal  sentiments, in the interest of higher ideals of unity, peace and progress of our respective communities and the country”.
“We must appreciate God for sparing our lives and giving us good health to be part of the celebration of this year’s festival despite the COVID – 19 Pandemic”, Apampa said
While urging muslim faithfuls to pray for the total healing of Nigeria and the entire world, Apampa admonishes all Engineers to continue to stay safe and take responsibility via regular handwashing, use of face mask, observing physical distancing and other protocols of this period.
