More Industries Open Shops In Ogun

Against the speculations that Procter and Gamble Company is closing down their business in Ogun State and moving out of Nigeria, the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Adil Farhat has debunked the speculation.

Mr. Farhat made the clarification  in Abeokuta when he met with the State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun at his Oke-Mosan office said “rather than closing down, we are committed to investing more in the state’’.

In his response, Governor Amosun noted that the management of the Company was called to inquire about the speculations and it was cheering to know that the company would continue to stay, saying instead of leaving, they are adding more products to the line of their productions in the State.

He said, despite the economic challenges, the State and Nigeria still remains profitable platform for investment.

In a related development, the Management staff of the International Breweries PLC, led by its Managing Director, Ms Annabel Degroot, were also at the Governor’s office to intimate the Governor of  plan to officially commission a new plant located along Sagamu Interchange, next month.

Meanwhile, the Chairman, Fresh FM, Mr. Yinka Ayefele, has disclosed that the  station would  soon begin operation in Ogun State.

He stated this when he met with the Governor to intimate him of the development, noting that the station had just been licensed to operate in the State and it will have its test transmission in the next couple of weeks.
