0GSWC Collaborates French Agency for Urban Water Supply.

The Acting General Manager, Ogun State Water Corporation, Engr. Oluseye Maku, says the Corporation is collaborating with a French Development Agency, on a project in Abeokuta for Urban Water Supply Project, which if successfully implemented, will be extended to other Local Governments across the State.

Maku, stated this during a courtesy visit to the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Alhaji Rasheed Shefiu at Oke-Mosan Abeokuta, calling on relevant government agencies to join hands to make the project a reality.

According to him, “OGSWC has achieved a lot under the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led administration in the provision of clean and potable water’’, adding that the test running of the Urban Water supply project is set to achieve seamless provision of water supply to the citizenry and boost the State’s IGR.

In his response, the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Sefiu said provision of clean water to the people was very important to promote healthy lifestyle and environment as well as preventing outbreak of diseases, saying, his office would always be ready to key into the ideas and initiatives that would move the sector forward.
