Abiodun meets Ogun Legislators, Seeks their Support.

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has appreciated members of the State House of Assembly for serving meritoriously in the last eight years, appreciating their roles at ensuring quick passage of bills.

Speaking with newsmen after a meeting with some outgoing members of the Assembly in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Prince Abiodun thanked them for their roles in developing their various constituencies and for deepening democracy in the State.

“This visit has afforded me an opportunity to thank them for the roles they played in their various constituencies that led to the successful and peaceful conduct of elections”, he said

He noted that the meeting was an opportunity to share with them, the vision of his administration and seek their support as they continue to carry out their legislative functions.

Abiodun later extended his farewell greetings to members who will not be returning to the House in the 9th Assembly and also wished them well in their subsequent endeavors while noting that they might still have the opportunity of working together in future for the betterment of Ogun state.

Also speaking, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Suraju Adekunbi, said the eighth legislature has done its bit by making laws that had impacted positively in the lives of the people, saying it was in the best interest of the State for the members to identify with the present administration.

Reiterating that matters of the State was a collective responsibility that involves all arms of government, the Speaker pledged members’ support to enable government realise its goals and objectives.
