Pre-Transition Budget Assessment Meant To Determine Performance -Ogun Assembly

Ogun State House of Assembly has begun the appraisal of the 2019 Appropriation Law, ahead of the winding down of the current administration in the State, with a view to determining the progress made by Ministries, Departments and Agencies, in all programmes and projects of the State Government.

The Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation,   Hon. Victor Fasanya, who stated this while declaring open the exercise at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, expressed optimism that the exercise would go a long way at assessing the compliance of all government agencies to the 2019 Appropriation Law.

Fasanya commended the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led-administration for pursuing vigorously, its five cardinal programmes, which had resulted in making the State an investment destination of choice.

Taking his turn to present the 2019 budget performance of the Ministry of Information and Strategy, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, reeled out the achievements of the Ministry in the period under review, noting that it had devised mechanisms to improve on its mission of adequately keeping the citizenry informed of government programmes and activities.

Fagbohun, represented by Director of Information, Production Services in the Ministry, Mr. Abiodun Awere, said the Ministry through the print, broadcast and online media, has brought government closer to the people.
