Gov. Abiodun mourns another Onabanjo Commissioner

Mourning another commissioner in the Second Republic cabinet of Chief Olabisi Onabanjo, Ogun State Governor  Prince Dapo Abiodun,  said “this is a dark week for the State”.
Chief Coker, the Governor said, exemplified industry, courage and confidence.
 Abiodun added that “losing these great former public officers – Chiefs Akin Ogunpola and Adeyemi Coker – has denied us their experience and institutional knowledge in statecraft”.
Chief David Adeyemi Coker was until his death on Sunday, the Ogboye of Ilaro in Yewa South Local Government Area of the State.
He would have been 90 years old on 26th June and  was a Hon Commissioner under Chief Olabisi Onabanjo from 1979 – 1983  serving in  three different ministries: Economic Planning, Industries as well as Lands & Housing.
He was Head of Public Relations at Guinness Nigeria Plc for many years before his appointment as Hon Commissioner.
