Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says the present administration will not relent in its desire to promote equity, fairness and good governance in the country.
Professor Osinbajo stated this during a service to mark the 60th birthday celebration of the Archbishop of Lagos Ecclesiastical Province, The Most Reverend Olusina Fape held at Our Saviour’s Anglican Church, Ikenne-Remo.
The Vice President described Archbishop Fape as a man of integrity and a fervent minister, who had contributed greatly towards promoting good governance through his message.
Earlier in a sermon, Bishop of Ijebu North, The Right Reverend Solomon Kuponu had appealed to political gladiators in the state to come together towards resolving the disagreements affecting the peace of political parties.
In a reaction, Governor Ibikunle Amosun, who said the political decisions taken by his administration were in the best interest of the people, advised residents of the state to participate actively in the forthcoming elections.
The Most Reverend Olusina Fape in an interview expressed optimism that the elections would be peaceful, and advised stakeholders to ensure that the people’s choice prevailed.
