 Amosun Amosun Swears in Bisiriyu as the 17th Ogun HoS.

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, CON, FCA has sworn in a new Head of Service in the State Civil Service, Engr. Isiaka Olanrewaju Bisiriyu, FNSE as the 17th Head of Service in Ogun State.

Governor Amosun while swearing in the new Head of Service at the Exco Chamber of Governor’s Office today 3rd January, 2019 in Abeokuta made it known that the elevation calls formore work as much will be expected of him to become open and familiarise himself with the workings of the Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

The number one citizen in the state, who posited that any government desirous of its success must ensure that the Civil Service is well positioned, noted that his administration’s success is largely dependent on the Civil Servants.

He made it known that the administration is coming up with innovations where Private sector will be involved in the process of governance, promising that they will benefit from it as they embrace the innovation. The Governor appreciated the people that have in one or the other complemented the efforts of his administration.

Dignitaries at the event included the President of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Adekunle Mokuolu, FNSE  who was ably represented at the swearing in ceremony by Engr. M.O. Odesanya, FNSE, Ogun State Government Excos, Retired Ogun State Heads of Service, Ogun State Permanent Secretaries,  the Abeokuta branch Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Dr. O.A.Apampa, FNSE, General  Secretary , Engr.  Olumayowa Idowu, General Manager Ogun State Water Corporation, Engr. Mrs. M. Agboola, FNSE, among others

Engr. Bisiriyu, a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) joined the State Civil Service as a Pupil Engineer with the State Water Corporation in August, 1985. He rose through the ranks and was appointed a Permanent Secretary in January, 2012. He was until his latest elevation, the Permanent Secretary/Clerk of the State House of Assembly .

The new Head of Service holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan in 1984 and later obtained Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the then University of Ado – Ekiti (now Ekiti State University) in 2001.

A Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) certified Engineer, he has attended several technical and management conferences, workshops,trainings and seminars in Nigeria and abroad. He is also a recipient of the 2018 Chris Abebe award of the Nigerian Institute of Management.
