Ogun Engages Over 1000 Children, 250 Parents On ICT

Ogun State Government through its technological centre, Ogun TechHUB has engaged no fewer than 1000 children and 250 interested parents on various digital trainings in Information and Communication Technology and cyber security.

Speaking at the training held at TechHUB Centre, beside President Muhammadu Buhari Estate along Kobape, Abeokuta, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Communication Technology, Mr. Dayo Abiodun, disclosed that the training would not be a one-off programme, but a continuous exercise which would be holding on Saturdays from November, 2019.

Represented by the Director of Information and Communication Technology, Mrs. Olatundun Adekunte, Abiodun noted that the initiative was to the advantage of the entire citizens of the State, urging participants to keep practising all that was taught, which he said would be of immense benefit to them and the society at large.

Children between the ages of eight to 16 were taken on different courses ranging from Animation and Cartooning, Robotics, Web Design and Development, Coding, Mobile Development, Electronic and Embedded Electronic System, Graphics and 3D CAD, and Digital Literacy based on their registered choice of interest with practical knowledge.
