Amosun signs N400.3bn Budget into law

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has signed N400.3bn 2019 Appropriation Bill, passed by the State’s House of Assembly into law.

Amosun, after signing the bill at the conference room, Governor’s office, Abeokuta, thanked the Speaker and the honourable members of the House for doing the needful by passing that bill on time.

The Governor appreciated the Ministries of Budget and Planning and Finance for a job well done, assuring that the budget would be adequately funded for the betterment of the people.

According to him, ‘’throughout the eight years of our administration, our budgets have always been presented and considered by the House and signed into law on time. This shows that we have not taken our people for granted”.

The Governor while reviewing how his administration had faired in budget preparation and implementation, expressed optimism that the next government would improve on it.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Suraju Ishola Adekunmbi, who had earlier presented the clean copy of the budget to the Governor in the company of other honourables, disclosed that, after taking a critical look at the proposed budget, the House decided to approve the sum of N400.3bn

He added that the legislative arm had effectively played its roles in supporting the present administration, appreciating honourable members and other stakeholders for their inputs during deliberations on the budget.
